Full-time Bookkeeper

We currently are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper at our Huntingburg office. Freedom Bank offers a competitive benefit package.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Field phone calls and assist customers with banking products and services.
  • Post debit and credit journal entries.
  • Data entry and balancing bank applications.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide internal support for employees.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow directions and apply policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to adapt to a busy work environment.
  • Ability to speak on the phone with professionalism.
  • Basic math proficiency with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
  • Experience or knowledge of accounting and deposit operations is preferred, but not required.
  • At least one year of experience in a financial institution environment.
